Windows 10 asks for Product key during upgrade.

Windows 10 asks for a Product key during an upgrade install.

This is easily resolved and happens simply because you never fully activated Windows 8 or 7. With Windows 8 will have to confirm your account.

To check, search your computer for "System" or open control Panel, and then "System"

Now look at the bottom, It will say "Windows is not Activated"

Next click on "Read more about activation"

Follow the steps to activate Windows"

Install Windows again.

Windows 10 asks for a Product key during an upgrade install.

If you are doing a fresh install, just skip the "Enter product key" bit and install Windows, once in Windows you should find 10 automatically activating Windows and adding a product key.

The above has yet to be confirmed by myself though.
