Device Drivers

DRIVERS - Remove & Reboot

Device Drivers

In device manager highlight the device you want to reinstall, ((Communications port COM 2 in this example) the device you want to refresh may not be working or have an exclamation mark beside it) select remove and confirm removal by clicking ok, this device will then be gone from device manager.

Please note that the removal of some devices (eg Display Adapter) will give you no other option but to reboot.

If an option to automatically reboot does not appear then you will have to reboot the computer yourself.

On reboot windows will find the new hardware.

On this occasion a Communication Port.

Driver install is now complete, and will once again be featured in the device manager

THE END
