Works 99% of the time to solve Operating System problems. Or minor Hard drive problems, the only recommended way to install Windows is on a new or freshly formated Hard Drive.




You loose the contents of your hard drive, make sure a backup is done before attempting this process.


How to do it


Windows 7, Vista, XP, and 2000 :

Users can use the option during their installation to Format the drive, or you may delete the drive and reset it up again. (See individual Guides from the main page )

Windows NT :

The format is automatic from the NT installation.

Windows 98, ME and 95 :

Start computer up into MSDOS and type "FORMAT C:\" and then start the windows reinstallation.

Or Restart the computer in MSDOS mode and type "FORMAT C:\" and then start the windows reinstallation.
